I'm a florist and This person ask for a service of his anniversary party he use the name Tao Lei and his budget is 14k for 40 people and he want hire me as event planer so we request a 25% deposit he said he can make a deposit 4000 dlls later after we send the contract he sent back signed and he need a favor if I can charge 10,000 and I can have the 4000 dlls for deposit and 100 for me as tips and if I can give to him back 5,900 to pay a limousine (what that service is not included on the 14k budget)and I ask him how he found us and he said from friend referral and also from our ad online and I ask what friend referral to us to be nice with the friend and send flower and he answer was "Keith Richards" and of curse I don't have a friend with that name is a singer I said Oh I like his music and he just text back "hahahaha" and request a picture ID and of curse he said he don't have one on the moment but the soon he arrive to the city he will show to me!! the last text said are we moving forward with my deposit!!! I answer " I DON'T THINK SO !! YOU ARE SCAM GOOD LUCK WITH YOU NEXT VICTIM"
This # said this is for his mom contact # but it's appears in his name he told me his complete name: Engineer Douglas Micheal from AUSTIN TEXAS, widowed with 1 daugther her name is Stacey & he have a worker in there home name Rosa, this man begged me & he said he will repay the money he borrowed but until now he didn't pay me back & when I checked his email acc.its appears in a scammer pig buster that his location from Nigeria, this also the contact # he used to called me:4092341650,4092341621,4092038042,+234168952128,+2349098866897,+447024058861,+12673684252, This are his friends involved: William Wilson, John Eichelberger, Uzor Richie,

The "client" Tao Lei submitted an event request to a hotel I plan many events with. The hotel then passed the lead on to me to be their event planner and work with the hotel to host the event. The scammer "Tao Lei" gave a reputable source from Conference Direct, which is why I assumed it was a credible lead. Here are the following details the scammer client Tao Lei provided myself and the hotel with:

I want you to be rest assured that all the payments will go through you as my party coordinator/event planner to all vendors and you can get all the necessary arrangement done for my event as i work 24/7 in a ship out of the State but will be in town 5 days prior to my wedding anniversary. My party time 3pm to 7pm, Expected guest is about 35 to 40 also how much do you charge for this type of event deposit or full payment will be made asap with my credit card once availability for venue is confirmed by you. I believe you can bring a level of service that surpasses anything we’ve seen before.
After communicating for a day with him, he had agreed to my contract, signed, and had it sent back within a day. After he signed the contract he asked me for a "favor" to send him two invoices for $5000 each totaling $10,000, and he would pay a deposit of $4000, but I could keep $100 as a tip for for my gas. He needed me to transfer $5,900 into an account for limo services. It was at this point I looked up the phone number and address and figured out it was a scammer. No personal or financial information was given on my behalf. I did however bait him and was able to get the "limo" account number he wanted me to transfer money into. I am now reporting the phone number, bank account number, and also the email he uses....Hopefully this will slow this scammer down a bit.
