Unfortunately, from what I understand, the calls originate overseas. The IRS and law officials can do very little to stop it. With free WiFi being everywhere, the call could be coming from anywhere and just about impossible to track. I hope that one of the many law agencies are tracking the activity and contacting the originating countries and are working to shut down the scammers.

ASKED FOR MY DOB AND LAST 4 Digits of my SSN I REFUSED TO GIVE IT AND HE SAID HE IS SIGNING a NO BAIL ARREST WARRANT AND THAT MY LOCAL SD WILL PICK ME UP IN 45 minutes, I told him go ahead and hung up
Received two calls today from a female automated voice on my cell. Could not hear the beginning of the message but she said to call this number about my case. From the comments I would think it was an IRS scam. Will not call them back and I have no case.
The IRS does not initiate contact via a phone call, they first send postal letters.
The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.
It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.
