They said they were the Nielsen co and that they sent me a letter and would like to conduct a survey. I asked who they wanted to speak to and who did they send the letter to? They said they sent the letter to my address and I asked "what address". They would not say the name of the party they wanted to speak to or the address. Last night they left a message in very broken english. I smell a SCAM, and told them not to call again.
It is legit. This is the NIELSON ratings survey company. They randomly select people to keep a diary either of the television shows watched during one week's time OR the radio programming. The dollar bills are real and are meant to be an incentive for the recipient to complete the work. I am sure the call is to follow up to be sure you received the stuff. What I DO NOT like is that they called my cell phone. NO ONE has that number and I don't like that they were able to get it so easily.
