someone or company pretending to be the US Postal Service. They say that they need to send you a letter concerning a package that you sent.   They however cannot provide any information such as tracking number, return address, etc.   They got me

someone named "debbie" called our company from this number saying the were from the USPS, and said they had a package that was going to be returned to us because a bar code could not be read.  The person from our company who took the call just said, "okay", but did not give out any other information.  We ship packages daily, but not typically via USPS.  It just so happens we had shipped an international package 4 days ago via USPS.  I phoned the post office and gave them the tracking number.  I was told they have no notice that our package is being returned. and they were not familiar with the phone number.  When I phone this number (513) 864-0094 I receive an automated answer saying, "audix" or "audics" or something similar, and then get asked to enter an extension number and pass code.

Had a USPS insurance claim I opened due to a package arriving shattered.  Was a call to confirm the complaint had been received and processed.

I had reported a package damaged insurance claim with the USPS.
Caller was a follow-up to the claim. Not a scammer

Got a call related to a USPS inquiry I made yesterday. Totally legitimate call, and they made this call a day after I had called them as they had promised. Thumbs up for the USPS.
