Was sent these messages from another phone number sporadically..at least once a month. Replied with "stop" txt message. Txt's ceased...now receiving same texts from this number. I closed account a year ago with Facebook, and I consider this to be harassment. I don't like Facebook even more now.
Me too got a message from this number.. asking me to check to some photos of someone on facebook... my account is closed there too... hate these messages,.
I think this is somehow connected to when you have a facebook account, however someone CRAZY from our past, accuses us of using this number to harass her. WTF? Delusional :)
Is NOT connected to Facebook in any way whatsoever. It is a simple phishing scam to try to get you to visit a compromised (malicious?) website using your phone. No doubt you'll end up with some rogue app on your phone, if you should decide to click on the link in the message.
Same rules apply for phones as for surfing the 'Net. Don't click links (especially UNSOLICITED links) you don't know.
