Trying to sound like a big tough guy, threatening me and saying he has tried to contact me (first communication) there is no reason this guy should be calling me let alone which such an attitude.
Michael Michael Green and associates. Phony collections agency threatening to send the sheriff after me. They've called twice and threatened me with a different county sheriff both times.
First time really scared me but after I looked into it, even calling the original creditor, it's a scam.
Just received an computerized voice call from this number - Brian Lawson calling for (name other than mine). Advising that he is calling for our local Sheriff's Office. Threatening to come to place of employment to have me served or to meet at a mutually agreed upon place. Otherwise, a bench warrant will be served. Left message that I was to call the plaintiff at 844-650-4886 immediately.
Several points--
1. You are NOT warned if a summons is coming.
2. You can not buy or talk your way out of one if it is issued.
3. it is illegal to claim to be a law enforcement officer if they are not.
4. Bench warrants come from a court - not because a debt collector says so.
