A woman called from this number looking for my son saying that he needed to contact them immediately that he had 3 pending felonys and if he didn't contact them he would be arrested. They wanted information on ny son and my husband refused she told my husband he was stupid. He asked to talk to a supervisor and she was also rude. Im sure this is a scam. They also knew my son's name
VM allegedly from Michael Gates (?) of something called "Mediation Services." With a tone of voice intended to convey great authority, he claimed to have a "pending case" in his office that requires my immediate attention; and he threatened that if he doesn't hear from me or my attorney today he "will document that I have waived my right to counsel and submit my case." He admonished me to "govern myself accordingly." At no time did he say my name, the name of the person/entity he represented, or give any indication what the alleged "case" is about. Like others, I'm confident that this is a scam, intended to frighten people into paying Mr. Gates money for nothing. Don't fall for it. Instead, go online and submit a complaint to your state's consumer protection agency as well as the Iowa agency since the phone number appears to come from Iowa. (He also uses 515-200-7214) Tell the consumer protection agencies to shut-down this fraudulent operation before they clean-out someone's bank account.
YES on a SCAM. IF there really was a case, you would have a surprise visit from a licensed process server - not a cold call. You waive NOTHING by not returning the call - a blatant LIE..
Got the same message using 515-200-7963...and 7985...now only thing different is he is going by the name Allen Jones last week he was Michael Gates....scam...scam...
