The solution is simple. The government needs to find out what telephone company provides service to this number and make that telephone company cut the service. They also need to put the subscriber on a "No Telephone" list, and cut the service to all other numbers they use.
My ID shows National Geographic. Like all else here, there is never anybody there nor do they leave message.
Does anybody here have any experience with call blocker attachments you put on your phone? There are several out there, but I want one that WORKS as it is supposed to.
I keep getting these calls as well. I called back and spoke with a customer service representative. They said it was probably a sales call (NG DVDs). I asked them to remove my number. We'll see if it works.
edit: I just called the number back. I confirm it's National Geographic. They apparently got my phone number from one order I passed one year ago (!!!). It's supposed to invite you to order dvds from the NG but they seem to experience troubles with their answering (or announcing) machine. I just had to give my name and phone number and they erased them from their calling list.
Hope it'll work!
If I don't post here in the next months, then it means it was a success!
Good luck to you all!
The same number has been calling me almost every day. I filed the complaint with FCC on donotcall.gov. Guess it takes time for a complaint to process then because this number keeps calling EVERYDAY and not bother to leave a message!
