I knew this was a scam once I got the call. I am unclear how he got my name and phone number. I am guessing it is from a pay for list from some company selling them. Is there a criminal service (FBI, or some body) who handles these?r
A guy with indian accent. Constantly said that he got a report from windows error report system or something that my laptop security was expired and it needs maintenance. I had no problem with my computer. Good thing that I searched the number online while on the phone. It's a scam call.
I have received a couple of calls from (515) 329-0960 ... I was unable to answer both times and no messages were ever left what was so odd was my phone recorded their phone number as +51 53 290 960 so I went on line to find out who was calling and everything I have read is that it is a scam. Some one should shut them down.
7/28/2014: Caller ID shows "Polk City, IA (515)329-0960" Man with an Indian/Asian accent says he is calling because they are getting reports from "windows" that I'm having problems with windows Operating System and want to gain "remote access" to my computer to see what the problem is. Told him that just isn't going to happen...I have a tech company and there was no mention of this...this HAS to be a SCAM. I WOULD NEVER LET SOMEONE WHO CALLS OUT OF NOWHERE ACCESS MY PC. Initiated trace of call by dialing *57 and then BLOCKED. HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS FOR SCAMMING!
