Received one call every other day. 3 calls in all so far, no voicemail message.

I receive a phone call a day from this number.

I also put in a complaint with the national do not call registry: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

I called the number back on a different line and got a generic "This is customer service, enter your phone number to add it to our do-not-call list." type message.

Call us and hangs up. Who the hellis this??

This is a service for news papers to verify that your delivery service is going ok. They called us on behalf of the Houston Chronical. They are not a collection agency or a telemarketer. Still - it was annoying to get  a phone call per day until I was finally home to answer and find out who it was.
