Today Time Warner Cable came by and updated my new modem and router; then the tech used IE Explorer and a voice stating "We have detected a computer virus", then a pop up can on and said to call Microsoft Technician with a phone number "right away". The TWC tech said this has happened a few times. Now I get this call and come here and read the comments; somehow some very malicious people have found a backdoor on IE. We in in bizzoro-world. Born once and die twice or born twice and die once - know the Lord my friends for the days are growing darker.
Got a call from here today, and this isn't the first time.
The guy was american surprisingly, becuase every other call I've gotten so far the agent has a thick Indian accent.
Anyway, he said he was from Computer Technical Support, and that they've detected something wrong with my computer - is that correct? and of course, I said no.
I waited until he said something again, and he asked if he was speaking with Ms.(mother's maiden name). I said no, and usually it would've ended there, but the guy asked, "then who the [***] is you?"
Those exact words I swear. I told him that he called my house and that he should put me on the dnc because he had the wrong number, and just responded with [***] you [***].
I'm a telemarketer, and that's definitely not an approved rebuttal.
The next call I get, I'm just going to go along with until I get to a higher up.
Looking forward to getting these [***] dealt with.
:D
I got a call from a man on this num saying I was having computer problems. I said no and he started to cuss at me. Using the F word. And calling me names.
