They called my Cellphone and didnt know my name. They just said, my computer has been sending them something using my IP address. Since I am an IT tech, I played along. He told me to go to my computer and go to a certain website which I didnt. I told him my internet was going very slow at the time and it may be awhile. I asked him since my computer is to blame, what is the IP Address.
He then hung up. When I tried to called back a get fast busy signal. He sounded like he was calling from India. If anyone knows who this person is and happens to have THEIR IP Address... Please let me know. Thanks!
They just called me and left no message. Over the weekend they called my 82 year old father and told him he had a virus and they would help him fix it. He told them he didn't have a computer and the guy asked him if he was a man or a woman. My dad told him he was a man and the [***] told my father he sounded like an effing [***]. Please Please Please warn the elderly in your family about these scams.
They called 2x...first time the number was formatted as a number from Peru. The second time it was formatted as a number from iowa.. added to blocked callers!
