I get at least 2 calls a day from these scammers and have been for years. What I want to know is WHY I never received a scammer call until AFTER I put my cell phone number on the DO NOT CALL list?? Was the Do Not Call list hacked and the issue never reported to the people those phone numbers belong to?? I just find it very strange that I never received a call from a scammer until after I put my number on the Do Not Call list.

has never worked. These scammers from India don't care about that or if they call before 9 a.m. I blocked the number. One day I had to block 5 callers with my Panasonic phone..it will block 250 numbers and soon I will have that many numbers blocked. Taking the phone off the hook before bedtime will block first time scammers.
Phone rang. I answered hello. No answer. I left phone off hook and listened. They kept trying to hang up. Left it like that for 5 minutes then hung up. Got 515 823 1745 off the caller ID. Called that number and there's a fake message saying the number isn't valid. I think it's a fake message so people think it isn't a real number. Obviously it is used by scammers according to this website. Interesting that others also had hangups.
