Since I filled out a survey yesterday I have been getting calls from weird area code numbers but honestly I don't have much people that call me so it's nice to hear my phone ring every once in a while makes me feel a bit more important I just don't answer I can change my number at any moment for free thru my service but I enjoy the ringing so I'll keep it as it is
I've received a call a day from them for the past week. They call themselves "Academic Advisors", and offer continuing education. Apparently they got my information from job hunting and said they are for job seekers. When I said I wasn't interested, she then solicited information on buying a program that stops identity theft and private information from being stolen from resumes submitted online… which got me scared. I don't recall giving my information out to "Academic Advisors" and now I'm feeling paranoid...
They call me 3-4 times a day for the last week. They call themselves Academic Advisors when I called back to see who was blowing up my phone, even on Saturdays. I Googled the number and here I am.
Received call but never picked up. Just prior to this call, received another call from number 718-618-4226 which is also a telemarketing scam. Signed up on the DO NOT CALL LIST but doesn't seem to help.
