This might be one of those medical alert-type calls. I believe most of these calls are spoofed. The actually caller is located in the Caribbean somewhere. Some have been located in Florida and there have been some action by the Florida Attorney General against them.
These are total scams.
They won't stop calling, so your best bet is a call blocker.
I have my phone number registered with the national do not call list.I report everyone of the telemarketers that call.I also keep a log of the numbers , the time and the ate they call.
Someone from this phone number called saying that they have a security system--ready--to deliver because we were referred by a "medical professional!!!!! When looking the number up on google it comes up with the Bureau of Public Works for the state of New York. These nitwits are not only annoying but must think that all of the people are stupid. They need to go get a real job.
I just got the same call as Tired of Scammers Crap. I let my answering machine pick up
and heard the same message. How can the State of NY Bureau of Public Works use their phone to make these annoying calls? Someone should inform the bureau that this is being done.
