Credit card scam and a bad on if I understand correctly. Called & wanted to 'lower the rates on my credit cards'. I just let him talk a bit till he thought he had someone on the hook & was telling me I was probably paying very high rates & he could lower them for me right there and then. Very heavy Indian accent & asked me what I was paying and I told him I never pay any interest on my credit cards. I pay them off at the end of every month. He told me I didn't and I was lying and I should be GRATEFUL HE CALLED ME and would I please stop lying and tell him my credit card numbers and he would be happy to lower my rates right there and then. I'd had enough.
I AM A COMPLETELY REPREHENSIBLE HUMAN BEING. I told him "I THOUGHT THE EARTH QUAKE GOT YOU LITTLE PIECES OF CRAP & IF THE EARTHQUAKE DIDN'T GET YOU THE HEAT WAVE DID!" He didn't seem to know what to say to that. Silence on the other end of the line. Then AN INCREDIBLE BARRAGE OF BARELY INTELLIGIBLE OBSCENITY WOULD HAVE RIVALED ANY TRUCKER OR SAILOR YOU'D EVER! I just hung-up on him. I really don't wish anyone dead and for the most part the Indian people are a kind and caring people. It is just the few evil SOB's who are trying to line their pockets by leeching from the poor & gullible who fall for their garbage.

I got the same thing happening to me - it was as if I was calling myself from my landline to my cell phone. This is a complete scam. When I said I wasn't interested and could not understand a word he was saying, he called back and left me a voicemail saying: I'm going to [***] you really good you [***] [***]. This is a complete scam - watch out.
The number is from Nassau County New York - I googled it....but when they first called me it was a 613 area code which is Ottawa Ontario....so who knows...scam scam scam
