Received phone call this Saturday, at 9:00 am. Funny thing is, 516 is the exchange for Suffolk County on Long Island, not Nassau County on Long Island. Didn't leave a message, and called back an got a busy signal. 516 used to be my phone exchange till they changed it to 631.....
I keep receiving calls from this number about credit card info and I have no credit card and of I did I would not disclose info over the phone! I want them to stop calling my number!
I answered the phone at my girlfriends house, and so I listened to the recording. It asks to press 1 to lower you interest rate on your current credit card, I didn't press anything and the transferred me to a Live person. They started talking about lowering Interest rate from 11% and I said, "you don't even know who you are talking to" then they replied, "This is Mr. William right?" I said, "No" then I told him again, "You don't even know who you are talking to, there is no one in this household with Credit Cards" I then said, "Can you take me off your calling List" he replied, "Yes" so I said, "Right now" again he said, "yes." Then I asked, "What's your employee ID #" and I got hung up on. Tried calling the number back but it wouldn't let me. This guy had a heavy accent, not sure from where though. SCAMMERS
Recording about lowering credit card interest rates. Pressed 1, some guy with a thick middle eastern accent answered. I said "remove me from your list, I don't even have a single credit card" and he hung up. Added number to the reject list on my note 3 so my phone will never ring for that number again...
