Various different heavily accented people were calling me from this number, all claiming to be advisors for some kind of college. I asked who they were trying to reach and they said "Walter", and I explained that they had the wrong number. An hour later they would call again. I had to turn my cell phone off because the repeated calls were disrupting everyone's work at my office. Finally I went to Verizon's web site and blocked the number. They are probably still trying to call poor Walter... I wonder what college they work for that they don't understand "wrong number"?
I get these calls multiple times per day now to my cell phone. Same scenerio, no one on the line; no way to connect. They have called as early as 7:45 am on a Sunday morning. I feel this is illegal. If anyone knows how to stop them or who to report them to, I will be the first in line. I am on the no-call list, and reporting them has done to good to stop the calls.
Got the call from this number on my cell.
Said hello
waited 10s
remained silent on other end.
I said who ever the F**K is calling will be reported
then i heard a click and call ended.
Every time I call the number its silent never rings.
This to me is against the law & never solicited.
This is why most of us disconnected our land lines & choose to never give out our numbers.
