1. If you don't want to be associated with sleezy stuff, all you have to do is stop being sleezy.
2. If you create an internet or social media presence, your "info" is public already, and you can have no expectation of privacy. Especially seven months down the line.
3. The info was available already. Maybe the impact is greater since it is collected in one spot.
4. By putting a public request on this site to ask that what is public, is to be hidden, you have only bought yourself more attention.

I wish I checked these before I called them back. I don't do the types of work they were looking for (A-133 audits for the past 5 years with $40k fee) but they "sounded" desperate... So I called them to let them know that I don't do these audits and gave some of the names I knew..... After I gave some names, the lady started to ask me questions like how do you grow your business etc. I felt it was weird and ended the call. They said they weren't interested in large firms.
