Recorded automated phone call, received twice in one day, from fake IRS reporting a pending lawsuit and requesting a call back to 516-340-3183. Too funny to be believed. I can't believe that anyone would fall for this SCAM.
Received a number of calls from this number. They said that they were calling from the IRS and that there was a lawsuit against us and to call back at a number given. My husband answered the phone - I told him it was a scam and to hang up. He hung up, but then redialed the called number. When they answered he was nasty to them about calling us for a bogus claim, they hung up and when he tried to call back again the number would not pick-up. Scam!!

Crazy call from IRS saying they would be filing a lawsuit in my local county courthouse if I didn't call them back. They keep calling. I know for a fact the IRS doesn't contact you about lawsuits or money owed over the phone. What can be done?
