Recorded automated phone call, received twice in one day, from fake IRS reporting a pending lawsuit and requesting a call back to 516-340-3183. Too funny to be believed. I can't believe that anyone would fall for this SCAM.
Received a couple phone calls now from this number. Seems each time I think that I get a slightly different recorded message, but it claims that an Officer Ray Flex needed a return call immediately or else a law suite was going to be filed with the local courthouse.
Dumb me called them back just to see what was going on. Yesterday I got a VM which was in such poor English, I could barely understand them. It said to leave a message and to speak slowly and spell everything. I just hung up.
Today, I get the same call and called back again. I got a real person, but again with the think accent. He ask for my name, but instead I ask him who he was calling for because I get a lot of calls that are not for me on this line. He quickly blurted out a name that wasn't mine, then said to have this person call them back immediately, I said that person doesn't live here and he hung up. It was too funny.
Honestly, I think we should all start calling them back wasting their valuable phone time with just as many bogus calls as they have called us about. For instance, I think I might have my 12 year old order pizza on that line and I might just call to have my meds refilled or to request an appt with the IRS so that I can get my refund faster.
