I get these alot this ph # 516-430-5137 its very annoying to me. they call and dont leave a message. I try calling it back some operator guy's voice said "the cricket number you called is out of service" then how and WHY are they calling me? thanks for the tips I never donate to something or someone that calls ME.
I have gone through changing numbers. The issue I have found numerous times is that I get stuck with phone calls for the irresponsible person that held the number before me.
They do have phones that block these jerks. I have a Panasonic phone that you can save numbers and block them. these scam artists call and now it rings once and hangs up on them, awesome.
I just got a call from this number. The caller ID is shown as TROOPERS ASSOC. They are telemarketers. I made the mistake once by picking up the phone. The guy was soliciting money and wants my creditcard number. When I asked which troopers association he belonged to, he hung up. It's creep like this that makes it hard for the REAL charity groups to look for donations. Very sad.
Person calling from 516-430-5137 asked for someone in my household. When I asked who was calling, he insisted on knowing who I was first. I refused to identify myself and told him since he had called here, he needed to identify himself first. He hung up. This is the second time this week he called with the same scenario. The number on the caller ID states Wantagh, NY. (suggestion: press *69 and hold it as he is talking---causes a piercing tone on the other end)
