Same number called me. I called the number back and a man with a middle-east accent asked for my case number and name. I told him I didn't have a case number and didn't give him my name. I then asked his name and identification number. He said, "Caroline, my name is Agent John Miller, my badge number is 775011 and my extension is 134." I said, "Well, obviously you already know my name so how may I help you?" He then proceeded to ask me if I would "like a long, big "d**k". I thought I hadn't heard correctly and said, "Excuse me?" and he repeated it twice!
Just got the fake IRS call with the message that I had to return the call immediately or they will have the sheriff come and arrest me. This is BS. #1. The IRS will NEVER call, they will send out a certified letter. #2. Per the federal FDCA, it is illegal for them to threaten to have you arrested it you don't return their calls! Report this to your local police and then file a complaint with the FBI - give any and all information to them. These idiots do this every January and February because they think they can get away with it - don't fall for this!!!!!
I just got the same call. The guy gave me his name and officer# and told me to go to the local sheriff's office and I would sit in jail for the next 90 days.
