Scammer called my mother's number twice demanding her to call back so I did call back through her number. I knew it was scam before I called them and look this number up here first. I wanted to play games with them, after 2 minutes they hung up and block my mother's number. So I called them from my number and played games with them as well. The person on other line got furious with me and hung up, look like they won't be bothering us!
Was a prerecorded message stating that the irs is about to file a law suit against us for false tax filing. Advised to call the number that came up on caller id back to take care of the outstanding debt.
this is not a debt collector. It is a scam. Do not call them back. do not give out personal info. report to your local authorities.
BTW, the IRS does not file lawsuits. Lawsuits are a civil matter.
No matter how many phony spoofed phone numbers the fake irs has, they will all get ignored and blocked. And the more people are told about this scam the less victims. Just wish I could cut some fiber cables and leave India without internet!
