Scammer called my mother's number twice demanding her to call back so I did call back through her number. I knew it was scam before I called them and look this number up here first. I wanted to play games with them, after 2 minutes they hung up and block my mother's number. So I called them from my number and played games with them as well. The person on other line got furious with me and hung up, look like they won't be bothering us!
left on my machine. They claimed to be IRS, claimed I was part of a fraud case, claimed lawsuit and possible arrest. All the "scary" stuff for gullible people. 520-233-5821 is the number they left to call back. I don't have caller ID so I can confirm the calling number. Obvious it was a scam.
Recording stating he is an officer with US Treasury, I am being sued for falsifying tax documents, there is a warrant out for my arrest !! What a horrible way to start your day !! I called back, he said he is officer Adam Smith. I said are you calling from India, he has a thick Middle Eastern accent, he giggled and said "No, I am calling from Iran", I said (jokingly) "there is a US Treasury office in Iran?", he laughed and hung up.
Message to call this number - said we were a victim of tax fraud, and that is was urgent to call them back. We did not call back. Very certain that this is a scam!!
