Caller asked for me by name. I asked who was calling and they claimed breast cancer research and wanted to send me a donor packet. I asked if they could tell me the name of the organization they work with so I could verify and she said thank you for your time and hung up. Clearly a SCAM!
They called today (May 20 2016) at 5:08pm. No message, but I called back because I was curious. Pre recorded message said; "thank you for calling the fundraising center. We are unable to take your call at this time. For more options, please press "9"." So I pressed 9. And the first time it gave me a menu with 2 options: "if you are not interested in donating to this fundraising drive please press 1. To end this call please press 2." (obviously I didn't press either one I just hung up).
Called me on behalf of breast cancer and I said do you realize you are calling me at a work place? Darlene didn't care. I told her to please not call my work number again and hung up.
Called my cell phone. They knew my first name. Said they were calling to get some kind of breast cancer donation. Sounded like a scam, so I said no. She wasn't really pushy though, so I don't know if it really was a scam or not.
