Caller asked for me by name. I asked who was calling and they claimed breast cancer research and wanted to send me a donor packet. I asked if they could tell me the name of the organization they work with so I could verify and she said thank you for your time and hung up. Clearly a SCAM!
Automated telemarketer calling to get donations for breast cancer research -- they probably aren't a real non-profit or contracted by a non-profit to get donations. Just scamming for $$$.
I got a call from this number on my work on call phone at 3:35am on 9/16/2016! Glad I didn't answer it! Very upset to be woken up thinking it was an important call but glad I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it. There were messages on the voice mail. When I called back, it's just a busy signal. Why can't these people use their time and energy more productively?
