Who called from 5204067340

"work from home" spam scam sent as SMS message.

So I got this shortly after posting on a Signing Time Web site, which announced today it had been hacked into. I'm in PA, like most of you, as well.

How many of you have your number posted on craigslist? I'm a 717 from York with verizon. I bet that's how they got my number. I haven't given it out otherwise.

This is why you see people writing their phone numbers with one or two of the digits spelled out. It looks weird, but bots designed to scan craigslist for numbers cannot read it and do not get your number.

Just got the same message on my cell, I'm also from the Lancaster Area. I had been inquiring about working from home but not from AZ. Strange.

just got the same "work from home" text, I'm in Lancaster PA with a 717 area code on verizon.  I logged onto my account online and had texts/calls blocked from this number.  but... they probably already sold my number to ten other scammers so who knows.
