I too was just called from a company named WSA with the phone number 520-829-4308 claiming that I owe money from pay day loans from 6 years ago (2008) that I supposedly took out. When I asked for them to verify my info half of it was completely wrong. They said I owed 1,400 and that if I didnt pay this today, they would be filing criminal charges against me.
This person was threatening me with Jail? I told him that i could pay $100 dollars but i have a family that i am barely making it as it is. I do pay my bills, student loans, car etc.I askeeeedis guy for proof that I owed this money and all the pertinent information and he stated that he could not give that to me? How is that? I am not going to pay something that you can not prove that I owe? Now that the FTC is shutdown, there is no new requests that they are taking and therefore I think people are taking advantage of the whole situation. These people were so rude and I was in tears after this call. Who does this??

Someone named Nicole from this phone number called for my son, and said she was from 'WSA' calling regarding a "fraud investigation". When I asked her what WSA stood for, and who was the accuser, she said "Warrant Service Associates", but would not give me the name of the so-called "accuser" because I was not the "perpetrator".
