I fell into this crap and don't know why. I put the check in my account and now my account is going to blow up because of it. Do not allow this person to scam you too. Stay away from this number and stay away from any scams from craigslist. If they don't want to see the item in person then it is a scam.
I love these sites they are so helpful. This guy just tried his crap on me and thanks to these posts I can tell him where to go before it goes any further
I had an item on craigslist and he text me, most scam attempts come via email and when I list my number i substitute a letter so he took his time. I got a check but not dumb enough to cash.
Yeah, I got the exact same message and instructions. I knew it was a scam from the very first text, but I led that stupid [***] on for as long as he'd play, just to waste their time. Please tell me there's no one out there stupid enough to fall for this age old [***].
