I feel so stupiD! They had me fooled! TOld me they were the IRS and gave me badge IDS and case numbers and told me I owed the IRS 6549.16 because I had done my taxes wrong, and that they were going to have me arrested, will take my house away, my car, and the 6 somethng would become 54,000.00 It started to sound so extreme that I googled it while they were on my line, they were extremely abusive and accusing. They said I was now considered 'suspicious' and I am being accused of fraud. I called the IRS and had them clear my name. Those jerks got so mad while I put them on hold to try to call the irs
Called at 6:19am. Called back and actually got some female who sounded Indian. Told her that they called before 8 am which was against the law and that if she thought I was stupid enought to fall for her scam...then she hung up.
