I get these calls to, about once a week, to my business in Incline Village, Nevada.  When I call back the numbers (530) 205-9116 and (530) 205-9515 they never go through.  However I called (530) 205-9164 and I got a voicemail message from Mike and Pam Hallet.  I left a message with my name and number and asked them to call, sounding like I was interested in their business. If/when they call I will tell them to stop calling my business, and if they don't I'm going to file a complaint with the FCC.

If everyone called (530) 205-9164 and left a voicemail message, I think they'd get a clue.

Received the carpet cleaning call again today.  This time, however, the name left on the message was Jeff Harris, 530-205-9116.  I called the number and left a message for him! Past numbers left were not valid, so I was surprised when this one picked up with a voicemail recording that matched the message left on my machine.  Obviously someone is getting their kicks out of leaving carpet cleaning messages!

I get calls from this clown about monthly since I added a new business phone line.  You all might want to look at this:

Telephone Consumer Protection Act 47 U.S.C. § 227(b)(3):

(3) PRIVATE RIGHT OF ACTION.—A person or entity may, if otherwise permitted by the laws or rules of court of a State, bring in an appropriate court of that State—
(A) an action based on a violation of this subsection or the regulations prescribed under this subsection to enjoin such violation,
(B) an action to recover for actual monetary loss from such a violation, or to receive $500 in damages for each such violation, whichever is greater, or
(C) both such actions.
If the court finds that the defendant willfully or knowingly violated this subsection or the regulations prescribed under this subsection, the court may, in its discretion, increase the amount of the award to an amount equal to not more than 3 times the amount available under subparagraph (B) of this paragraph.

Also:

(5) PRIVATE RIGHT OF ACTION.—A person who has received more than one telephone call within any 12-month period by or on behalf of the same entity in violation of the regulations prescribed under this subsection may, if otherwise permitted by the laws or rules of court of a State bring in an appropriate court of that State—
(A) an action based on a violation of the regulations prescribed under this subsection to enjoin such violation,
(B) an action to recover for actual monetary loss from such a violation, or to receive up to $500 in damages for each such violation, whichever is greater, or
(C) both such actions.

State law is not preempted by this code, which means you can also bring an action for damages for invasion of privacy under state law if you state so allows.

HELLO! ARE YOUR CARPETS DIRTY? Just got ANOTHER call from these [***]...

After dozens of calls, disturbing an elderly parent who is not well, I was starting to fantasize about methods of revenge, but did a search and found this page. Perhaps I will try the FCC Complaint first (before the knee-capping idea). I am curious though if his carpet cleaning service is good at removing blood stains..... leaked from this shmucks own body.
