I havde recieved at least 4 -6 calls from a Frank Martin from "Harrison Law Offices out of Cailfornia." He ahs called me once at work and he is calling from 916-304-5183. I told him unless I recieved something in writing with all the information I was not talking to him. When I told him I called the police he told me to go to the police station and call him from there. After I hung up with him I did call the local police and left a message for them. After I got off the phone with the police Frank Martin called again. I hung up on him. And he cross my fingers has not called again. I have not taken a payday loan out in 3 yrs or more. There has got to be a way to stop them,
I received a voice mail on my cellular, from a man stating I contact this number, 530-230-9512 immediately. In addition, stating there is a PETITION against me that will take legal court action unless they hear from me and or my lawyer. When I called the number back there was a reorder tone.
I have recieved a call from 408-465-4144 today. the man had a thick middle eastern accent and said that I needed to call him immediatley because there was serious aligations against me. So I called him back. He said that I was being sued and needed my attorneys name. When I told him I didn't have one he then told me that I needed to get one and have him call them back. About 5 minutes after that I got a phone call from 530-532-2151. this man also had a thick middle eastern accent and said he was from Harrison Law Firm. He said his client was cash advance usa and that I had taken a 500 dollar loan and that I now owed 789.89 with later penaltys and interest. He said that if I didn't settle out of court that I would have to get a lawyer and they would file the petition and 5 to 7 business days after that I would have to show up in California with my attorney and when I lost the case I would have to pay 8 or 9 thousand dollars. So he suggested, kindly, that I pay the 789.89 and be done with it. Well I told him I would have to call him back. I called my bank immediatley and had them pull my account information. No payday loan was ever deposited into my account and I have written proof. I then called my local police department and told them about it. He said really there is nothing they can do about it because its really not criminal. I have quit taken their calls and don't plan on answering them anymore. If anybody has any information on how to help stop these calls or how I can help to take these people down please let me know.
I just got my first call today. It was from Harrison Law Firm and I spoke with a "Mike" who was apparently their head attorney. He was extremely rude and would not give me any information about the case and eventually wound up hanging up on me. The number he called from was 530-366-5705. I am not sure who to report them to, as I am sure they were calling from outside the US and using some sort of program to link them to a California number.
I received a call about a week ago from this Harrison Law Firm from 530-366-5705. The man left a message with the name of Mr. Joe Carter. He left a number but it got cut off on my voice mail. He then called again today and the same thing happened. I found the number on my phone and called it back. I asked for Joe Carter. It was a middle eastern man that answered. It sounded like this Joe Carter. He said Joe Carter was his paralegal and he was out of the office. He stated he was a lawyer and that there was a pending case against me for a unpaid payday loan from Advance Cash. I stated that I did apply to Advance Cash but, I could not get the loan because of the account situation. He then asked me to verify where I worked. I then became very suspicious. I told him I wasn't verifying anything until he told me what it was about. He said I had received a loan amount for $487.00. I said that I didn't and could prove it. He said I was lying and that within two hours he was going to send someone to my work to arrest me if I didn't pay this loan. He was very rude and told me he could suspend my license or get me arrested if I did not pay. I told him to do what he needed to do! He would need to send me something stating a court docket number and written information about this case. He indicated for such a small
amount of money I could pay it back or risk being taken to court and having to pay thousands in the end. I knew at this point something was wrong. I told him I didn't know who he was or where he came from but he wasn't getting a dime from me. He could have me arrested and I would sue him for fraud when I got out. He then hung up on me. Please don't give any information to these people this is a bad scam. I have reported them to the FBI, I heard it dosen't really help, but I felt on this one, I needed to do something.
I received a call from someone today who says his name is John Peterson with Harrison Law Firm. He asked for my lawyers information to clear up a lawsuit against me. At first I couldn't understand what he was saying....I asked who their client was and he said Cash Advance and that the loan was taken out a couple of months ago. (but ive never taken out a loan with them) He said that the local police was about to come to my job and arrest me and some other nonsense.
I then asked questions to reassure everything he had said and to write everything down but he hung up on me when he realized I was writing the info down.
I tried to call back numerous times but no answer. I then logged on to google talk and tried to call but still no answer. the number he called from 530-661-8509
I know this is someone who i trying to get money from me but I want to know who....so i did a reverse phone lookup and the call is from a landline phone out of Woodland, CA.
This "John Peterson" had some sort of bad accent and was very rude. I hope they call again; so that i can tell them that they are about to get arrested....
