We had received a phone call from this number and thought it sounded important...we called them back. We want to keep our credit good....I called the bank and we had opened the account they said the money was deposited to...2 years after they said it was deposited. Our account didnt even exist at the time they said we got the money!!!! I read Mr. Opportunity's post and it was the same for us...Alex Johnson (which the name did not fit the ethnicity...i'm not prejiduce) was the one who called...he gave us the last four of the bank account number and the last four of the social security number (which is scary). I did not verify that this was correct or incorrect. I might take this matter to the Woodland Police also...thank you Mr. Opportunity for your detailed and insightful posting....
They was calling me continuously for the past two weeks. I knew this was a scam so I argued with them and I refused to solve this issue. They said it was okay if I refused to solve it. And couple days ago, they can me and I didn't pick up the phone so they left me a message said that that was the last time they calling me and today they called me back. LOL. They can't get the money from me and they keep on calling me.
They made me worry one so I thought I make them worry too. So I called them up using google voice, and pretended I am calling from police department. The guy called himself Johnson answered my call, and I asked to speak with Marshal Raymond and the same guy was faking Marshal because the faking voice was terribly. I said you are the same person and he said "no this is my first time speaking with you." So I asked to him to let me speak with alex johnson, he said alex is not there. I asked him to send me the address of him company so I can send someone over and he said talk to his manager. Then I spoke with the manager and the manager got very mad and he hang up on me. I keep calling them but they don't pick up the phone :D. LOL... You guy/gal should install google voice and prank call them for free.
I just received call from them yesterday and got the message at work today and they are claiming same things here but now instead of being Johnson they are calling themselves Allen Smith. They ar ecalling my home, cell, and now my work number. My boss is getting very angry. How can this be stopped immediately.Everytime I claim t them it is a scam they are quiet for a couple of weeks then it starts up again under new names. Any suggestions? I know my SS # is still okay but it makes it very hard to keep fighting these calls. Is filing a police report locally worth doing? I called Woodland Police and they said nothing cna be done until they use your SS# illegally. So any suggestions is most helpful.
Called back - they claim they are with Pay Werx - can someone else try calling back and see what company name you get - and they had no ideal who Allen Smith was when I called... any takers? And they say they are out of Las Vegas, NV too
