Got the exact same call. I have NOT called back. Gotten several crap calls lately. All started when I pissed off an Indian sounding guy who claimed that he was the CEO of Microsoft Computer Corporation, and that they had checked my computer's registration number and that it was infected with a virus. He asked me to input a string f numbers into my computer to verify.
... I said that I would be happy to help him in my best Forrest Gump voice. I then went to the kitchen and started punching numbs into the microwave oven. He asked what the screen said. I told him "4;20". Confused he asked me to input it again, Same result. He told me to hit the control key. I told him that I didn't have one. He directed me to the lower left of my keyboard. "Nope" I said. He asked me what the key on the lower left of the board said. "Fan Speed",. ... Silence. We tried again. This went on for another 10 minutes.
He finally asked if I was in front of my computer. I told him no, that I was in front of my microwave. Super frustrated, he asked me "Why?!!" I told him that my microwave wouldn't heat up my KFC chicken and that I had just called Sears and weren't you trying to help me? "NOOOO! I need you at your computer!" I simply said "Oh I tried that, my computer won't heat my chicken. I don't like it cold."
Poor Baboo was in agony at that time. I dropped the Forrest Gunp accent, and told him that I had been shining him on for the last 20 minutes (I hadda admire him for his patience). He went road flare. Mixed English and sub-continent invective. He sounded quite sincere. I didn't take it personally and thought of his reaction as more of a slot machine payoff.
Been getting these kinds of spam calls on an infrequent basis ever since. YouTube is full of great ideas for trolling these guys. DONT fall for it. Take revenge. Mess with them and waste THEIR time. Give them apoplexy, folks. Thin the herd.
