Called my cell and immediately said I was being recorded with or without my consent. I told them they did not have my consent and asked for who was calling so I could report them to the Attorney General. They hung up on me.
This phone number called me, barely spoke english, sounded just like the guy that was impersonating an officer stating I owed money and I think this might be the same scam. Where do these guys come from!
This number is always calling my cell number. My husband answered it one time and told them they had the wrong number and they hung up. They are always calling during work hours so I can't answer it. We don't owe any debt collectors, so I wish they would get bent!.
They asked for my husband and I said "He's had to go to work" and the guy said "Oh Ok" then hung up. How rude! Scary when your home alone with a 2 year old and I have guys coming to the house to pick up broken equipment so I thought it was them and I just told someone he wasn't ehre to come rob me or something?! SCARY!
Called both my work and my cell - - threatening legal action on behalf of a company called "Cash Advance". They read an affadavit and read my Miranda Rights to me - - accused me of 17 counts of burglary and theft by deception. I asked them my home address and they recited my WORK address.....I asked them to confirm my home phone number and they recited my WORK numer and extention. When I asked them to give me the docket number and Court jurisdiction - -the reply was f*$% off and they hung up. CLEARLY a scam.
The person at this telephone number listed my house as "For Rent" on craigslist and had someone ready to pay and come get the keys to my home!!! Lucky for me, the person that was getting ready to pay to rent my home googled my address and found MY home telephone number and notified me of what was going on... For the record, my house is not for rent.
