I received a thick accent male voice maybe somewhere from Africa! saying that I am in trouble with IRS and they will arrest me soon. I say: "Well. I recall I did not do anything wrong. Work my [***] off and pay taxes like anybody else. Go ahead and arrest me! Ha ha ha".
I got a call from some lady stating that I needed to call back something about a legal matter started against me. She said
she was from the Department of Legal Affairs. She had a very heavy accent. I Google d the number and came here. Thanks for posting this is a SCAM now I hope she calls back
Got 2 messages on my answering machine which were impossible to understand. "Dept of Blah Blah Affairs" or something. The woman had an impossible to understand accent, so I still have no idea what she wanted. When I tried to call back, there was nothing but dead air, but, fortunately, Googling the number lead me to this site. The exchange is northern CA. Advice to scammers, if you are trying to run a scam on people, have someone who is capable of speaking clearly making the call. Since the number is only dead air, I guess the scammers have moved on. This is why I don't answer the phone.

A man with a thick accent left a message on my phone about a hearing with a judge or "magistrate" for a federal criminal offense. His name was Steve Martin. A few weeks later I got a 2nd call, same message, sounded like the same guy, said his name was Cedric Gray.
