We rec a call from same tel number 530-776-5914 and the person was hard to understand and said they are an arresting officer for County of Los Angeles. We are having our lawyers look into it.
The guy that called me also has a middle eastern accent but said his name is michael anderson. He told me I took out a loan in december 2009 for $300 and never paid it. He told me it was deposited into my bank account, but they wouldn't give me any info on the 'account' because its only a legal affidavit that they have stating that I owe a company $300 but they wouldn't even tell me what company it is. They asked me to fax them a copy of my bank statement to prove I had no loan deposited. When I told them no they said that it will go to court. I told them that was fine, I would rather do that than give them information they could use to scam me and they hung up on me.

Peter Parker called from American something something. It is a scam. I reported these guys to the Indiana State Police on July 14th. He called them and spoke with them. I spoke with him again last week and the officer stated he is surprised they are still calling. It is truly a scam. Do not give or confirm any information. Just hang up.
I got a call from this number saying there was a case against my as I took out a payday loan from US CASH ADVANCE and never paid it back. B.S. I never took the loan out and the guy whatever his name was as i couldnt understand him said that i had to pay it or go to court and pay $5000 or better if I lose. I asked several times if there was someone that spoke better english he said no. He rattled off my name address and last 4 of my s.s. number and my bank name. I never recieved any notices about late or non payment on a loan either. and towards the end I became rather blunt stating that I can prove i did not get the money and that I will not repay something i did not receive in the first place, he hung up on me. I didnt get the company he called from but I did look up where the number came from it said Shasta Ca and the carrier is Level 3 Communications LLC and it is a land line. but on my caller ID it came up as being from Anderson CA. I didnt catch what company or law firm that he said he was from as i could not understand him.
Today is my lucky day. After a week of no calling they called my cell phone 5 times in a row and left no message. I have their number programmed in my phone as scam. Lucky for me this time there was no message,however, it is truly a scam. Do not speak with them. Hang up. I have spoke with the FBI who said unfortunately they cannot do anything. Put a freeze on your credit report, report it to the Federal Trade Commission, and report it online to IC3.
Still waiting for Peter Parker to quit calling. Spiderman is busy.
