Got the same call hoever they called the wrong person. Fowarded on to the security team who is on top of this scam. Beware never give out info to anyone you do not know.
Warning: Calls from this number are attempting to steal people's credit card numbers.
My story:
I got a call yesterday from (530) 894-6852, which my phone identifies as being in Chico, CA.
I answered and a computer voice explained that my Mastercard had been lost and that they would help me reclaim it.
I knew immediately that it was a scam, but I stayed on the line to see what they would ask. After pressing '1' a couple times to indicate my interest, the computer voice asked me to enter my 16-digit Mastercard number. I tried entering a bogus number, but they recognized it was bogus, so that was the end of the call... presumably their next question would have been for the expiration date and the security code.
I've reported the phone number to the Federal Trade Commission, and I recommend others do as well.
