Just got a phone call from 530-894-6852 with the same automated message as mentioned in comments above, about my MC being locked and press 1 to reactivate, but the call was really static like cell phones are sometimes and I wasn't sure what all was said, but I didn't press anything. I just said "What? I don't understand." The call disconnected. I Googled as well and got the construction business, tried to call the number back and got busy signals. Obviously it is a scam since my MC is a corporate card and couldn't be locked and I know it isn't lost. I guess the construction business website is a cover?
With all the comments on this, why is that number still being used? Why is that website still active?
Both self and spouse got calls from this number within a 20 minute time period. Recorded voice stated our MasterCard has been deactivated and to press 1 to reactivate. Funny thing is that neither of us have a MasterCard.
Hubby just received a call as well with automated system saying credit card was locked.. Knew it was not legit as companies like Mastercard do not work that way, it would be a person to person call!
