Who called from 5309365916

This number appeared in a spam I received for a web "Search Engine Optimization" scam.
As usual, the spammer used a phone number instead of a web URL for contact because he doesn't want you to see how well *his* web site ranks on Google! That would give away the scam, wouldn't it?

Spammers. Crooks.

Yet another spam using the same call-back number, 530-936-5916. The first one was from "Eric Saldanha" at [email protected] but today's comes from "Patrick Turnrer" at [email protected]
Since these scammers are generally one-man operations it's a pretty safe assumption that "Eric" just changed his name to "Patrick" after Gmail shut down his previous email account for spamming. (I also expect that "Turnrer" is a misspelling of "Turner" but the scammer doesn't care because he knows this email address will be nuked by Google within about 24 hours.)

A quick Google search on 530-936-5916 shows the top results are ALL warnings about this scam! It would appear that Mr. Saldanha/Turnrer doesn't really know much about optimizing search engine rankings at all, does he? ;-)

I got the email today but MINE was from Nancy Watson | DM Consultant at this phone number. I immediately reported to FTC, mx99 and Google Mail since the return email is a gmail account (not that I expect much from any of them). I've blocked that phone number as well.

Like Sir Belvedere above, the Google results I found were all heavy warnings against dealing with this company. If I had been even slightly inclined to engage them, this statement in the "P.S." line would have been the dead giveaway:

So they won't tell me who they are until I'm ready to hear their scam. No worries, I NEVER do business with spammers.
