Caller identified as National Republic Congressional Committee knew my name. Asked if it was me and I said yes. Asked again and I said, "what?" at that point the caller disconnected the call. I think I've been scammed
Welp my juices are going now thanks to a phone solicitor who WOULD NOT LISTEN. I ask for a supervisor because he didn't hear my first two stop calling here requests. Then he pulls a 'we must have a bad connection' so I ask for a supervisor louder. He starts talking really fast making excuses and I flat out swore '[***] you [***]' and hung up. God I hate people.
Got another call today. I am convinced that I was talking to a machine with some basic AI. I tried to get some responses and they were **very** canned answers. When I challenged them on their machine-ness, I got a response saying that wasn't true. When I did it again, I received a word for word identical (including tone of voice) denial. It refused to answer "Which state Paul Ryan was from?" It said something to the effect of "I can't get into that" and directed me to their website. it asked some question about my opinion on the Dems; I responded with the non-sequitor answer of "5". It just moved on versus asking "What?" or "Huh?".
BTW, the non-matching phone number at the NRCC doesn't work either. Are they stupid or some kind of a scam website too?
To see what phone bots can do, listen to two of them talking to each other at

The Lenny bot is an anti-telemarketing bot. Ton of videos there on youtube. IMO, the best can be found at
