I have received, on the same day, multiple calls from multiple phone numbers - with exactly the same message threatening me with litigation. All calls with same "case" number, all delivered by the same halting female voice. Pretty stupid even for a scam operation. Just ignore, provide NO response and block each number when there are multiple numbers.

I need you or your retained attorney of records to return the call the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My phone number is 540-227 2088 do not disregard this message and do return the call now if you don't return the call, and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as the situation totally unfolds on you. I just received the same message and returned the call. An "Officer Anderson" (clearly Middle Eastern accent) asked if I live at an address I used to reside at, and he demanded to know why I had not notified the IRS. I made the mistake and told him that I have lived at my mom's house for years. It was then I realized this was probably a scam. I told him I had no idea who he is, and that I am calling IRS directly. Of course trying to get through to IRS is impossible. I don't know what to do. I'm really frightened.
