This is perhaps the world's most unethical, unprofessional, collection hacks in the world. They should be put out of business. I, too, reported them to my Attorney General .. still working on that. I will attempt to join the class action suit since they used my cell phone for their harassing calls.
Received a call on my cell from this number. Didn't answer - I don't unless it has caller id that I recognize and chose to answer. They left a voice mail, and immediately called my work phone where they did NOT leave a message. I do have a 'mortgage' with them, they bought my mortgage from the company that bought my mortgage from the original lender.
I've gone round and round with them; my original mortgage docs say the payment is due on the 10th, late on the 25th. Green Tree tells me that their mortgage is due on the 1st. From what I understand, they CANNOT change the terms of the mortgage. They start calling on the 2nd. They don't call the day my check clears the bank, or the day after. Then they start calling again to remind me not to be late! "It's not a harassing call, it's a 'courtesy call' ". No, sorry it's harassing and I'm to going to answer it.
