John from Solar America. Got my full name and mentioned they are helping American who are paying $100 plus on their electric bill. I've told them I don't pay that much. Then he started asking how much. Then I just hanged up. PS: sound Indian over the phone. Every other day I get call from someone from Solar industry.
SO now I ask them who they are and changed the subject. If they ask how much electrical I pay, I tell them $30 per month. That shock them and they need to rethink how to SELL to me.
Caller ID: "Porterville, CA." Telemarketer. I answered. Caller said " May I speak to the home owner." I said, " This is He." Caller said. "Sir, this is Paul calling from Solar"...at which point I just hung up, having gained enough info to help classify the call. Polite approach, Indian accent. I will now report the call to my VOIP provider's "Community Blacklist" and, for myself, block this entire area code on my personal blacklist. My service works. Only very recent junk calls get through. At least a 90% reduction in junk calls since I subscribed 2 months ago. Oo**
PS fyi "Consumer Reports" to which I subscribe, is trying to organize an effort to help.
The only way I can see to reduce these nuisance calls is for Verizon, Comcast, et al to stop them.
They told me there calling from a solar energy company they want to know how much my electric bill is, i would advise adding your number to the do not call list they will call from a few different numbers
