For the casual reader: Western Union, Money Gram, Money Pak, Green Dot, etc. are wire transfers. That's CASH in plain English. You are sending CASH to someone you do not know. These services are NEVER to be used for a business transaction, or where you do not personally know the other person. NO real business uses these services, they are for family & friends only. Real one's, not the internet one's. Any request for you to use these services by someone on line is a scam. 100% every time.

I received a call from the number 1(302)797-0143, and the exact same thing happened to me.  The name was Wayne Randall and he said he would pay more for my truck then I asked.  Then said I need to pay "1st divine transportation 900 through western union and then I will get the rest of my money.  It is a scam.  My truck was posted on kijiji in Canada.  The buyers number is from the USA, Delaware it think.  I received the call about 2 hours after posting the ad.  They are trolling looking for suckers.  If it sounds to good to be true it is.  Stay away only cash.  They even used pay pal emails that looked legit.  Be very aware. My encounter was the same as Adam's story above. just the name and number is different. In matter of fact it said the money was all sent in Paypal and after sending the $900 to 1st Devine trucking the rest would be given to me. The paypal message came in the junk mail.

I just had the same incendent happen to me as -well I just got the same number text me as soon as I got off the computer putting my car on. Which he had offered more for my vehicle and all the same steps as-well.. The guy said to contact him through his private email! ITS A SCAM! His email was stated tuckerdavid12 "at " outlook.com Do not fall for this. Thank you for your post. I have not went through with this.

For a "[email protected]". Traced number to California. I'm from Toronto. Im selling vehicle online through Kijiji. Offers more for the vehicle and all the same steps. Man texts me to respond to his "private email". I was to go to the nearest Money gram to send $1500 first to receive payment. Even had a response email of "payment" from PayPal via [email protected]® Linked to [email protected]
Matthew Joseph Seamen from Denver, Colorado USA. Didn't seem right. Red flag!! it's a scam. I went to police and reported it. Police are aware of online scammers especially through Kijiji.
