I've received a couple of calls from this number already. They reached the answering machine and left no message. Today, I got another call from the same number, and when I answered, there was a strange sort of beep I'd never herd before, I said "hello" and a lady asked me how I was today. I said "Well". She then went into her pitch: "Hello, I'm Daphne. I'm with the Pro-Life center. Are you Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, or somewhere in between?"
It took all of the disipline I could muster to keep myself from telling her to go **** herself. (I am virulently pro-choice, and always have been.) I just hung up.
DON"T BE FOOLED PEOPLE! You won't get these kinds of calls unless there is an election cycle coming up. It isn't even about stoking up the pro-life/pro-choice culture wars. It is about some SPECIFIC candidate who wants your money. But you won't find that out unless and until you play along with them for awhile.
I already got a different sort of robo-call from a different number a week or so ago, telling me that Carly Fiorina was pushing some sort of parental consent (pre-abortion) bill in the California legislature and wouldn't I like to contribute. Bull! Fiorina is a LOSER who is just trying to extract money from people in the hopes that she can get to ruin this country the same way that she ruined HP.
