This is a call from the same people who call from 561-692-7408 ; This is the court house calling , someone is in jail and if you do not call back we can only wish you good luck . Scam
i need to call them back to take care of a legal matter with the court house. robotic voice tells me this. They said at the end goodbye and we hope you take care of this very legal matter. TOTAL SCAM!!
I have received numerous calls from 561-293-3241. It's an automated voice telling me I have legal matters to resolve and if I don't it could mean jail time. I'm instructed to call back immediately. Then they hang up. I'm thankful for others who have responded to this as well. I will certainly block them in the future.
The IRS is hiring robot callers going by the title of "officer", whose script relates a threat of a "lawsuit" by the IRS, and demands a return call to "take care of this very legal matter".
The IRS can only afford heavily-accented sub-Asian continent types who self-identify as "officer", in my case "officer Mike Williams", who answered my vengeful return call (as I knew full well what sort of creature would be on the other end).
This was the 4th such call in a series, over the course of a couple of weeks.
Nothing from the IRS has appeared in the mail yet, which is the only way they contact people.
Before "officer" MumbleGargle, or rather, "Mike Williams" could proceed with the credit card / debit card / bank account theft, I said:
"Please stop calling me. I can't imagine anyone stupid enough to go for this. Please stop calling me."
"Officer" whats-his-futz was silent.
I hung up.
And so should you.
