hell if I know, but, prob. a collector. If not, might be political opinion-type stuff. Both call me, the former because I owe lots and lots and lots and lots of money (over $100,000 that will go into my upcoming bankruptcy) and the second for reasons no one can fathom.

Asked to do a survey about the recent experience I had at a Florida Blue insurance center. Did the survey but refused to give personal information other than my name (she asked for my address and I did not give it to her, which she seemed fine with. Didn't ask for any other personal info than that.) However they did call twice in a row, within several seconds of me ignoring the first call they called again, which raised a flag for me.
a woman called said she was from Florida Blue and asked if I had their health insurance - I said if you are working for Florida Blue shouldn't you know if I have health insurance with you - we are in the age of computers - she made up some story that she doesn't have access to all information - I said that is pretty basic - then she said she wanted me to take a survey about the service I had over two months ago - I asked why a survey over 2 months later - then she said well it is okay if you don't want to do this - I said no I don't and hung up - "profile marketing" came up on my phone. Why not get a real job calling people for surveys and get paid for it.
