The letter seems very vague nothing about original creditor date of the loan or anything like that, Just info on the Ability Recovery company I think I would ask them for more pertinent information
When they call they call during working hours even though I ask them not to, they have never sent anything in writing and they never identify the name of their company. They said they're collecting a debt for $19,000 which was originally $10,000, and that they're willing to forgive the interest if I pay the $10,000.
If I don't then they threatened to take me to court and garnish my wages and freeze my accounts. The funny thing is the company they represent has already taken a course of action through the court system and I'm realizing this after looking through my files. Understand that they have never sent anything in writing and also never identified the name of their company when they call which makes me very suspicious that this is nothing but a scam.
When ever debt companies have called in the past they always say this is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose, but these people never say that. I also contacted the company they claim to represent and they mentioned a different collection company and it wasn't ability or what ever this company is called. I am still in the process of investigating this account. Initially ion panic I agreed to pay $50 a month but after learning what I have learned, they will be getting my money, and I have considered hiring a lawyer to bring a law suit against them.
I recieved a call from these ppl and it was a woman and she said that she had a "complaint"that she needed to discuss with meI do not even know who these ppl are.any suggestions?
Some guy calls me like I,m his new buddy and I should know who he is from his name. Asking for a payment. He was told a check was already mailed on my wife's way to work but that wasn't,t good enough. He then said that I told him I was making a payment over the phone which was never said and when that wasn't,t good enough, he then want me to give my info to make a payment right now or my credit will suffer. He was told again the payment was sent and told I,d like a receipt mailed back to me and his answer is they don't do that. So that shows how crocks this company is when they only want over the phone payments and will not give a receipt. We,ll see what they have to say when they get the payment and then I show up at there door wanting a receipt
